I have my first U.guentheri eggs in incubator.I find 2 eggs in 15th of december in their viv.Other egg was infertile but other egg looks good for me.Shell is pure white it´s nice round as ball and it is "dark" inside now. When I tried to look it by light I couldn´t see "thrue" it.In incubator temperatures have been 25-26 (celsius) and moisture is 90-100%.Egg is in vermiculite. Now it is 64 day and there are no sign of hatching...and I think the egg hasn´t "swell up" at all. What do you think? Is this egg infertile? Or have the baby died inside the egg? Or should I just wait?

most uroplatus eggs take 90 days to hatch, at least from what i've experienced. thenagain i dont have guentheri. just keep patient, and im sure it'll hatch. my uroplatus eggs always get dark when theres actually an embryo inside. hard-shelled eggs won't grow at all. just keep incubating, and hopefully youll have some more guentheri soon!

in my experience if an egg is bad, it will usually start molding within a few weeks. keep that egg incubating until you know for sure that it is bad ( starts to mold, smell, dent or something...)

I have book genus of uroplatus and there was said about guentheri that the eggs will hatch 60-65 days after laying...that´s why I´m worried about the egg! But I will keep it incubating.

I'm no expert whatsoever but I do know that it took my henkel baby 122 days to hatch and that was at a constant temp of 74 degrees. I think it depends a lot on the temps that the eggs are being kept at. From what you said I think your baby is doing great and you just need to be patient. You are the first that I've heard of having luck with guentheri! Congratulations!

I just wanted to tell you......my baby hatched today. It is so tiny and when I came home from work it has started to shed it´s skin.
Now I´m just hoping that he/she will start to eat....

Good for you! You don't hear of many guentheri hatchlings around here. What an accomplishment. Best of luck to you. If you can post a pic of the little guy. I would love to see a guentheri that small.
