i have a screen cage and it is hard to keep warm and it blocks about 30% of the light from out side the cage. but other than that it is a good cage. i have one from LLL reptiles. its 260 gallons.
I wouldnt use a screened cage as a normal everyday housing cage. Whenever I use them the frills get a little nose rub. I a, not into scabs on my lizards...
If you want to use screen, then build something with coated mesh.
Cheers,
mizzy

Hi,
One more question for you. My frilly is about 14" now and I am looking for a bigger cage, most likely the permanent cage for him. What I am wondering is if the cage you spoke of in this post is sufficient for a full grown male frilly? If so then I will purchase it for him from LLL.
Thanks,
Jenee
