New Candoia People

Hi all. We found a Candoia last night at our favorite pet shop and we brought it home. Beautiful little snake! A couple of questions since we are new to this species:

What is the difference between C.Carinata and C.Paulsoni? We have a book by Jerry Walls that dissmisses the Paulsoni classification entirely, but it is 12 years old, and by reading this forum, it is obvious that you all know different!

Also, it gets to about 88-90 degrees in our snake room during the day. This is a moderate temp snake and we were wondering if it is ok to keep her (no spurs found) on the floor of this room without a gradient. As of today, the highest temp in her tank was 89.

As for humidity, we can maintain her at about 65% in her tank. Is this sufficient/too much?

Sorry about all the newbie questions! We just want to make sure we have all the resources and information to care for her properly.

Pics coming soon, she is adjusting at the moment!

Well, there is a differences between C.c.carinata and C.c.paulsoni, but the best way to see this is to look at pictures of these animals. There is a color/pattern difference as will as a size difference.

The Temp may be a little warm. Most people keep their animals at 78-85F.

Here is a link to a couple of sites that should help you out.
