8/28/05 Baby Pics

WSHSmark Mar 14, 2006 09:00 PM

Here are my CB (captive born but not bred) 05 babies, two of them have recently eaten. I have had them all eating on lab mice. They came from a WC female that was pregnant. To bad in Oregon we aren't allowed to buy Rubber Boas or any species native to Oregon.
Hope you all enjoy them,
Sincerely,
Mark V. Leppin

PS-Hoyers, thanks for all your help and info.

Congrats...nice looking baby rubbers...hope you can get the rest to eat!!! I have just after about a year figured mine out. The male will ONLY take F/T rat pinks (and right from your fingers)....The female will take rat pinks (live or F/T) if put in a small tupperware, or she will take mouse pinks if left in the enclosure overnight....

Female after eating a few mouse pinks.....

Sorry, the message was unclear. They all have eaten but two in the pic has just eaten recently (night before). I haven't had too much trouble with my rubber boas eating except for the mom of the babies, she is PICKY. She currently will only eat peromyscus (deer mice) babies. On the other hand I have an Adult female rubber boa that will eat almost anything, anytime, anywhere. The CB babies I haven't had trouble with getting to eat, just had to wait through hibernation which is normal.
