Wierd rosy offspring from Mexicans...

A friend of mine had a pair of mexican rosies a while back that gave birth to a couple very bluish young.
Unfortunately the young would not feed, so it's been generally assumed the color was on a defective gene of some sort.

Anyone ever heard of this? He's asked a few breeders but they don't know either.

your pic looks alot like axantic.
because many rosy's have bluish undercolor, axantic babies seem to be more bluish i guess.
You should continue breeding them, they'd be great additions to rosy world.
