I was wondering if anoles tend to show affection towards their mates. I have a male and a female and they seem to lay on, touching or near eachother 90% of the time. They seem to be much happier together. Maybe they're just used to eachother and not to their new environment.

No. They are probably sharing a prime basking site. If you have only one site, they will both try to occupy it.
