I think it is a common snapper but not sure. It is quarter size and has a long tail. It looks like a red-ear slider. the weird thing is the belly is red. Thanks for the help.

We could probably ID the turtle from a photo, if you could post one on here. If not, we'll need some more info.
Where was it found? Habitat and state.
What color is the top shell, any distinguishing marks or colors?
How long is the tail? The same length of the shell or shorter?
What color is the head and the skin? Is the shell smooth?
