Here is a pic of my smallest female Tokay. The whole group 1.4 are puppy tame. All are cbb. What a difference that makes. I'm hoping for a good year. 4 eggs in the incubator already. Enjoy...Joe

Oh real nice looking Tokay. Do you keep your male and all your females together ? I am having a cage made for a pair I hope to get. Its not exactly a cage its solid sides but front is clear plastic that has door that swings down to open (I am to short to reach bottom to clean it without being able to get to it that way ) and top is screen 1/4 mesh for light/heat placement.

The guy said it should be ready next week .We have to go pick it up.

Its 2 inches taller and wider than 90 gallon tank but 3 inches shorter not as long. Same price as a tank with stand . However its wood so have to paint it non toxic waterproof paint or just might waterproof it without painting it.

Lia, I do keep all 3 Tokays together. 1 male and 3 females. They are all cbb and were raised together and they get along fine. The male has only bred 2 of the 3 females. I ffel the 3rd is a bit to small yet. I keep them in a similiar set-up to what you are getting. I made mine out of melamine with a plexiglass front. Its 4'x2'x2' and is heated with a screened off ceramic heat emmitter. The only problem I have is misting the enclosure. I take each Tokay out every day and mist them and the cage keeps the humidity up with two water bowls. If I mist inside the cage it seems to make the sides slick and they can't stick until it dries. Good luck with yours....Joe

lol oh I forgot all about misting . Guess will mist them directly like you and since going to put branches, etc will mist that to .
Misting the wood walls will make it slick your right.
Thanks

Joe,

Do you have to handle your cb Tokays to keep them tame or were they tame out of the egg and just remained that way? I almost bought a group of cb Toakys that were tiny. I figured they would be tame being cb or at least they'd be tame from frequent handling. I didn't get them, but might in the future.

Thanks
