New to Rosies...

morgan_so_cal Apr 26, 2006 11:29 AM

I keep numerous mountain kingsnakes but have never gotten into the rosies.
But now, since I've moved to Riverside CA 4 years ago, I live in the perfect area for these beauties. I've actually seen 2 in the wild last year while on a fishing/camping trip in Hemet.

My question... what are the laws in Cali right now for capture?

Living in california, you can legally collect two (2) rosy boas from the wild with a fishing license. You can also breed them but without a native propagation permit, you must give the babies away by the end of the year. You can have an unlimited number of Ca rosy boas, as ling as you have a receipt tracing the origin of each boa. Collect one if you wish but I would go w/ Captive bred. Roots
