I don't know if these guys are common or not, but I haven't seen many photos so I thought I'd post one.

That's a nice Lined Day Gecko you have there. Looks to be s WC adult. If you take a pic of his/her underside when its on the glass I will tell you it's sex. That cute little "puckering" of its lips is actually a mild case of "nose rub".
Also, is that stone the animal is sitting on Obsidian by any chance?
Thanks for sharing.

Joe, Thanks so much for responding.
This guy came to me as a rescue along with a few other critters. I have read up on his care, but it's not a species that I am closely familiar with.
What does the term "s WC adult" mean? I am including a couple of shots, but the belly shot may not be too helpful for sexing. I was just cleaning the tank, so he's off hiding out right now
I did notice a few rubs on him besides the lips, probably from being handled prior to being handed over. I am also wondering if this is his original tail... the color is so different, but very attractive nonetheless.
The stone is more likely to be black slate, it's part of a waterfall in his enclosure.
The obsidian comment reminded me of Shawshank Redemption. LOL.

"WC" stands for Wild Caught. Its a little hard to tell from the pics, but I think i see some enlarged femoral pores sticking out which would make that lizard a male. The tail is definately a regenerated one, but you're right, its very pretty.
Give this guy a month or so to heal up a bit and shed once or twice and he'll be looking great.
I don't have any experience with this particular Phelsuma species but all the info you would want is at this site:
www.phelsumaweb.com - there is a forum there where people actually participate
Good luck

Joe, Thanks so much for the link and the information. I'm really happy to locate a place that can help if I end up needing it, and to read up on issues that have arisen for others. He's a cute little guy and I'm hoping to do right by him.
