Good gracious, what a beautiful turtle!! She's gonna have some awesome babies! Congrats.

Thanks. That is two different females pictured.

Just to echo what kensopher said, those are two beautiful girls you've got there. I hope you've got a sharp-looking gentleman caller or two for them. Any chance of seeing some pics of the sire?

WOW!!!! They are very nice. Any chance you might sell a few of their babies? Congrats,
Tom

Tom,
Yours look pretty nice as well! I will sell some of their offspring later in the year.
Cheers

Thanks for posting those pics. You're making me black and yellow with spotter envy! I seriously wish I was back living in the States now so I could pick up some babies.
Right now I'm keeping a pair of spotted turtles in the Japanese Alps, and with any luck I hope to have some eggs shortly. Good luck with your hatching.

Oh my that is interesting! Besides the fact that they are beautiful I recently had a long conversation on another species board about the differences in the size of the male tail vs the female tail.
I can certainly see a difference in the tails of your male & female in these photos. It's interesting to me to see how the male spotted tail looks so similar to the male ornate box tail.
Great photos, thanks for sharing them.

We have several localities of spotteds from north of the Niagara escarpment that resemble yours.... Awesome!
