I've never heard either of those things before. I have copies of both the original description of charlesbogerti and Beck's book and the only mention I've seen of differences in body shape is a proportionately longer rear leg span in charlesbogerti. Where have you heard about tail length?
I'll have to look back over my stuff and see if I can find it again. I remember reading the description about greater breadth in the legs, and it was proposed as being an adaptation to arboreal activities as I recall. I'd like to see habitat shots for these guys.
