merolepid northern water snake

coluberking25 May 27, 2006 01:17 PM

I was looking through my past REPTILES magazine issues and came across one with an article about a "merolepid" northern water snake. this was only from 2005, I forget the exact issue at this moment. Has anybody here witnessed a merolepid northern water snake? Pics would be appreciated.

PS- and just how rare is the merolepid trait? the wheels in my head have been turning and i thought maybe i should try breeding the water snakes around my house to see if the trait is posessed.
