Another sick spotted?

paulcschmidt May 29, 2006 12:54 PM

Now its my female....

She remains very active and eats extremely well...but she has begun to sneeze on an occasional basis. Do I need to panic and rush her to the vet? I do have several shots left over that the vet gave me for the male.

This is too stressful!

I may take some heat for this one but I would give her meds myself. I am not a vet so please use your own judgement or call your vet and ask. It would be best to nip this in the bud.

Bad Tom!! You evil, evil villain! Just kidding. I'd at least give the vet a call. He/she will probably tell you to go ahead and give the meds anyway. Also, you'll need more if the vet decides to follow this protocol. Giving too few doses of antibiotics can be disastrous!
Paul, man, I don't envy you. I'm sorry that you're having such a rough time. At least she's doing well otherwise.

My plight continues.

The female stopped sneezing and was vigirous. She ate a lot and was very active.

She remains active, but stopped eating about a week ago. Is this an immediate danger sign or should I wait it out?

She has not laid any eggs yet. Is the lack of eating a sign that she is getting ready to lay eggs? Final question: she has spent a lot of time under the basking lamp on land. She basically goes for a dip, and then goes up on land and basks away the day. Is this normal for a spotted?
