sorry but i cant get good lightning to take a picture. but i just bought a lizard titled 'Jeweled Ameiva' but am finding trouble finding any information with such a name. would appreciate some help

Ameiva is a genus of lizards from Mexico, Central America & Haiti. One of the 15 or species has become established in south Florida.
Without either a photo or a description, I would be hard pressed to give you the species name.

ok he has calmed down quite a bit overnight. got an ok shot while he was asleep though i dont know how to post pictures here he has yellow speckles on his back a wonderful green/blue/red tint that traces to his blue belly. i think i red somewhere that defines males. his tail starts out green but it turns red at the end
