Sorry about that, I guess it cut off the rest of my message.
Anyway, what size tank do you recommend for a baby painted turtle (about 1 inch across)?
I've had one before, but I kept him in a huge unused fish aquarium which I got rid of when he died. I want my new turtle to be as comfortable as possible.
The bigger the better. You are also going to need a basking area (where he can get completly out of the water), basking sunlamp, uvb light, and a filter. Go to this forum you can find out everything you need to know here http://www.turtletimes.com/Forums/
I just aquiered a baby painted and keep him/her in a 10 gallon. I chose to do this becouse its much easier to clean and is still big enough for it to swim and for me to provide a basking area wich is very important. I provide it with a heat lamp uv light and water heater. It seems to be doing very well and I look forward to putting him in a bigger tank maybe a 20 to 55 gallon to provide him with a more naturalistic enviorment good luck!
