Need Help IDing Lizard

Hi all,

I live off the side of the mountain in El Paso, Tx...This morning, I found this little (I use that word hesitantly) guy sleeping outside my apartment. He took off already, but I am curious as to what he is...Hes about a foot long, head to tail...brown coloring, with some red patches. Here are 2 pictures of him:

That looks like an Alligator Lizard - though the pictures are a little fuzzie.
