Age of cherryhead hatchling, please help

pealow Jun 29, 2006 07:19 AM

I ordered a cherryhead hatchling from Neil Golli reptiles. He came
today and looks healthy. I have a few questions for the experts. One he
still has a dried yolk sac on his plastron and two he has an egg tooth.
Neil said that he was hatched in April but was put on the website on
June 12th. Could he have hatched in April and still have a (empty) yolk
sac and egg tooth??? Also his shell is a little crooked. Not been able to get him to eat anything but a few bites of banana, no greens.
Thanks,
Paula

they keep the egg tooth for awhile and the absorb the yolk sac so a picture of what you are taking about concerning the yolf sac would make things easier.
