When to reintroduce sick spotted

paulcschmidt Jul 01, 2006 09:11 AM

I have six very healthy cb spotteds in a tank.

I have another spotted that was acquired from another dealer that has been ill. I took him to the vet and it was determined that he had pnemonia and parasites. Thankfully, he is getting better and has received a series of two treatments. At what point is he healthy enough to put in the tank with the other spotteds?

Ask the vet. My practice is to keep animals under quarantine for one year after symptoms of any disease. This is especially true with upper respiratory infections. I have spare enclosures set aside just for quarantine's sake.
