Pretty Granite spiny pair :0)

PHEve Jul 07, 2006 06:45 AM

I got this pretty pair last week, they are just awesome
I have and breed emeralds, but always loved granites from afar.

Canyon, the male has a magnificent purple stripe down his back, and gorgeous turquoisey colors that just POP. The female Echo, is just as lovely she also has a purpley stripe not as deep a purple but puple just the same and her turquoise also shimmers and her yellows , they look irredesant.

I got the pair from my friend and fellow reptile lover, Steve Bozsik.

I can't wait to see some little granite spinys one day soon, what a colorful show they will put on.
This pic does not even show how bright and gorgeous they are, I just have not had the time to get better pics (YET)

I have always liked this species for its beauty. Unfortunately, they are too large to comfortably dwell in my 30 gallon terrarium. That's why I love Yarrow's. They are the perfect size.
