Hello! I was running around some hills around Bakersfield CA (southern end of the central valley in CA) and I saw a gorgeous little lizard. It was about 1-2 inches long, heavily spotted with a yellow head and moved incredibly fast. I'm thinking a baby whiptail? I know it's hard to ID something wtih just a despcription like that, but I figured it was worth a shot. Unfortunatly I didnt have a camera on me, but I'm going to look for some pictures now. Thanks for any help anyone has!

Was the head very disproportionately big? The body sort of turquoise, and the head yellow? That would be a baby collared lizard.
