Anole Identification

Aviansinoil Jul 21, 2006 04:44 PM

I do not have this lizard anymore so bear with me on description.

Close to 15 years ago I bought an anole from a petstore by me..that petstore has since shut down..it had been around forever.

This lizard had the same body style as a green anole but had many different colors on it. It had dark sapphire blue, bright green, orange, yellow and a bit of red. I haven't seen or been able to find anything like it since then..it bugs me that I can't remember what it is or can't find it!

The closest photo that I could find was of an A. allisoni (http://www.homestead.com/Anolis/allisoni.html). However! It does not have all the colors of the one that I owned.

Does anyone have a clue?

Ok, there might be a couple different anoles out there. Here may be some.

That looks a lot like mine did...mine had an orangish stomach though. That one could as well.
Sooo...do you happen to know what kind of anole that is? The guy didn't say what it was..just that it is "rare".

Thanks for helping me though!
