I'm not new, but have been lurking around since I got my softshell turtle a few months ago. Anyway, I wondering how big do the spiny softshell turtle get. That's what my turtle is: the spiny softshell. And does anybody know what part of the United States they come from? Thanks in advance!

The biggest I've ever seen is 12 inches I know we have them where I am at in PA but I've seen them in Illinois and Texas as well. I have one right now that has some shell problems but he is about 7 inches which is the most common size I've seen them.

The Biggest Spiny Soft-Shell I have seen was 16 inches (pictured below), but I have also seen two 15 inch turtles and a 14 inch turtle. I know that Spiny Soft-Shells range at least as far west as Arizona and then as far east as the east coast.
