I got this sulcata in trade. It was very dirty and when I got it all cleaned up this is what I found. Or is this just a very bonde phase normal?

I got this sulcata in trade. It was very dirty and when I got it all cleaned up this is what I found. Or is this just a very bonde phase normal?

It's a very pretty turtle, no doubt! You may notice that some of the new growth will be darker. However, there is a noticable decrease in dark pigment. Only time will tell if you've merely got a light colored individual or a true genetic trait. Even into adulthood, most of these characteristics are genetically unclear until you can produce F1's, then F2's, and sometimes even F3's. Good luck!
