Going on Vacation

rwbroerman Aug 03, 2006 07:00 PM

We are going on vacation next week and was wondering if anyone could give suggestions on bringing our baby Western Painted along with us on the long drive. I don't want him to get to cold or to hot. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Thank You

I don't travel with my aquatics but they have had car trips before, going to schools, vet etc.
I found that having them sloshing around in water doesn't seem to work very well in the car, they aren't very happy when they're in a small tub of water.
What I've done since trying that is to wet down an old towel then put them on that in the container while they're riding, if they get upset I cover them and that keeps them calm.
Once they get to where they're going, when I put them in plenty of water they seem happy even though I know they'd prefer to be at home. But they weren't horribly unhappy.
Have a nice trip btw.
