I have an appointment on tuesday and that is the soonest they can see him, but this is waht is going on...
Speedy has no energy , he has subtrat in his eye and i know thats painful but thats the least of my worries... he acts as if he can't swallow and no he refusses to eat...his color looks good his tempature and humidity is good...there is no discharge coming from his nose.and the inside of his mouth look fine...i have bought some perisite meds from the pet store but it is not very clear as to administrate it to him and how much....i was using cocnut shavings for subtrate but have changed to shreded news paper and moss...i frrl the old subtrate is part of what is wrong with him..any help and advice is greatly apperciated.

I'm glad that you are taking him to the vets. I'm sorry that I can't tell you what's wrong with your dragon...but I'm not a vet.

Re: parasite medication...you need to know the weight of the lizard to determine the dosage....but IMHO its not wise to just give him a medication without knowing what parasite you are trying to kill or if he even has parasites.

I never used coconut shavings for subtrate or shreded news paper and moss...I'm afraid of the coconut shavings causing impaction and the same with the moss. I always used cypress mulch and in over 15 years if water dragon keeping I have never had an impaction.

I hope that you can get the problem solved.
