Cobra Question

zdmarkha Aug 08, 2006 08:57 PM

Ok, i got a question about a species of cobra that im not too familiar with. The cobra in question is the Adaman Cobra(not sure if that is the correct spelling). Anyway my question is, where are they from? Africa or Asia? ALso i was wondering if there are any pictures or any other information you could give me on this species. How often do you see these in the classifieds? I believe i might have seen one.....thats not that certain either. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure you're referring to the Andaman Cobra (Naja sagittifera), from the Andaman Islands (India). Sorry, no pics, but Rom Whitaker/Ashok Captain's "Snakes of India, The Field Guide" has some. Hope this helped.
