Location San Antonio, Texas. Have two toads living in the back yard that come out from under a log when I water the grass in the evening.

Son has named them Jack and Davy, as in Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones (Pirates of the Caribbean).

Here's some pictures of Davy (I think)

Any idea as to what kind of toads they are?

i think it is a gulf coast toad, they live in the southern parts of texas and are often found in gardens. contact me if you have any questions about them.

Definitely a gulf coast toad. They are now called Bufo nebulifer, but until pretty recently were Bufo valliceps.
