Knight Anole:Are they live bearing reps?

kanole Aug 17, 2006 12:35 PM

I purchased two knight anoles about a week ago. While doing my morning check and maintenance of my reptiles, I noticed a little lizard hanging verticle on the cage wall. At first I thought it was a cricket and the shadows from the lights were playing tricks on my eyes but once I got a closer look it was a baby. I have not had the opportunity to capture the baby or check to see if there are others.

I have tried to look up any info on their breeding, and all infor states they are egg layers. This does not make any sense. I have never seen any animal or reptile hatch in less than a week.

Thanks for any info

I finally was able to caught the young anole. It seems to be a baby brown anole. I must have been a stow away on one of the plants I purchased

Thanks,

Tom
