Juvie King Ratsnake

One of my two King Rats. I picked them up as a pair, but low and behold, after probing both are male. Oh well. I'll find a female someday. Their adult colors are starting to come in. Both were tan/pink babies when I bought them.

Nice. A very deviant species. I like the rough scaling on those. Have they attacked or eaten any other snakes? Terry

Well im not in the habit of randomly introducing any of my snakes to eachother. LOL. When I do its usually the same species. My carinata are kinda flighty and strike at the camera during pictures but haven't tried to bite my hands or anything yet. They usually lie still in their cages, pretending like they aren't there, until physically touched or picked up.

I only meant they were kinda like kingsnakes in that they like to eat other snakes. Didn't actually think you were feeding them snakes, by accident or otherwise, just asking. I had one once which did fine on mice. I get curious about the habits of snakes a lot. Good luck with him.

Those are nice Brie. You dont see them often enough. I have seen some hypo ones recently but I think I still like the regulars best. They have great contrast in color with the bright yellow and darker colors. Later, Randy

Thanks Randy.

yeah I prefer the normals too. I had the chance to buy some albinos 3-4 years ago, but they were still too pricey for me. Especially back then. lol. I wouldn't mind just a normal and an albino. What people are calling "hypo" right now are actually just T dark eyed albinos. The guy I knew with albinos had some true hypos, which were chestnut red color and yellow, instead of black/yellow.
