this is my first SLR camera (canon 30D)..and I'm just now getting use to it.constructive criticism is much appreciated.

I love the 30D..
Canons are notoriously soft out of the camera.. and at least on the monitor I am in front of now, the pics appear to be soft still.
Play with the UnSharpen Mask tool in PS (also in PS elements) under filter/sharpen. Play with it.. be careful though, it is very easy to over sharpen..
