What type of Rosy will I breed with mine

drvinestein Aug 27, 2006 07:44 PM

I have an ordinary male Rosy Boa that somebody gave to me last winter. With his behavior over the spring, I can tell that he is ready to breed.

So, I want to get a female for him and breed them. What I want to know is other's opinions on what type of rosy to mate it with. I see pictures of all kinds of rosies with neat colors and patterns (although I don't know all the terminology).

What kind of female should I buy to make neat-colored babies?

I would say stick with what you got or breed it to an albino. I would say that is a San Felipe and that you should breed it to another San Felipe or a San Felipe albino. Most rosy enthusiasts like to keep the localities pure.
