New Beaded- Pics & Questions- Please hel

Gsc Sep 04, 2006 10:37 AM

Hello everyone, I recently picked up a beaded in trade... I've had gilas in the past, but always wanted a beaded. All the guy knew/said is that it is a Beaded... I'm guessing from the coloration is a Mexican Beaded and not a Rio Fuerte...correct?

Does anyone know the history on this animal...I know it's a small heloderm community.... Kinked tail...sold at the San Antonio Venomous show in 2006... susposed to be a 2005 hatchling...

I know its still kinda young but does anyone have a educated guess at the possible sex... just ideas... I know its hard.

I appreciate y'alls help... I can be reached at: gcriglow@gmail.com

I don't see any yellow speckling on the tail or elsewhere on the body between the yellow blotches, so that would support an ID of H. horridum horridum. I have seen H. h. horridum with lots of larger yellow blotches like that, but H. h. exasperatum they will have single scale sized yellow speckles in between the blotches, particularly between the tail bands.
