This man was, in so many ways, my hero. This is a great loss to the world. I think it is safe to say that he has done more than any man in the history of mankind to bring an awareness and even a spirit of appreciation and tolerance to the world concerning reptiles, even the big, fierce ones that bore his TV name.
No single herp lover has accomplished what he has. Not one. Not even close.
RIP dear Steve, and may our Heavenly Father bless your memory here forever.
