A Great Icon of Herpetology and Nature

lizardman Sep 04, 2006 04:17 PM

It's sad to hear that this happened. Steve Irwin was a great icon of conservation, especially of herpetology and other "un-loved" animals in nature.

We hobbyists should help carry-on our knowledge (to each other and the public), respect and care for our pets to help promote a better world that enhances conservation of nature, instead of destruction of it.

Everyone that has been familiar with the Croc Hunter should remember him as being a great proponent of what a conservationist can do for the natural part of our only world.

Condolences to:
Terry Irwin, her children, Bob Irwin, Steve's friends and all members of the Australian Zoo.
