He lived a dangerous life and im sure him and other knew there were many dangers, it still doesnt ease the shock of when it does happen.
God bless his friends and family, and we can ONLY hope Steve knew Jesus Christ as his lord and saviour, so we can be reuintied someday.

It's truely nice to hear those words ... and I pray the same.

The very question my 11 year old daughter asked....very sad. I pray God will give comfort and strength to the family and friends as they go through this tragedy.

I think its incredibly cruel to suggest that another human will only experience an after life if they believe in the same superstitions you do. Thats as good as saying that Steve is condemmed to hell if he doesn't happen to share your particular fantasies about the after life - thats cruel and amazingly arrogant of you.

All societies have creation myths, and all have death and after life myths - none are anymore correct than others - they all seem very "real" to the believer - if they didn't they wouldn't function in their lives, and they all have "documents" that verify them, whether its the bible, the koran or word of mouth as in more primitive societies.

Steve will face the same after-life we all will. If there is a god, she is much bigger than any one superstition! Don't wrap your cruelty and arrogance in feigned compassion.
