Like all of us, I was stunned when I heard the news of Steve's passing. He was a passionate young man whose enthusiasm captivated everyone who watched him. He did so much for animal conservation and certainly was responsible for giving the general public a better understanding of reptiles and hopefully less fear of them. It was a tragic accident and I hope he didn't suffer. My condolences to his wife Terry, their daughter Bindi and son Bob. May their memories of him live on and hopefully they can carry out his work. A very sad day indeed.
