Naming a new Tegu

I got a new Tegu last Wednesday and I havent named him yet.I was thinking about naming him Ares. But after much consideration and due to the recent horrible happenings Im thinking about naming him Irwin...Do you think it would be okay, or would people think it in bad taste?

As long as your doing it out love of Steve I would say its ok. I plan to get a tegu in the future and already thinking of naming him after one of my close freinds who died a few years ago. Hard call
