Argentine B & W Eye Infection?

south21 Sep 05, 2006 06:16 PM

I have a Argentine black and white Tegu around 1 month old who i believe to have an eye infection. He is active, eats well, and has normal appearing feces. He does however sneaze from time to time. Here are linked photos of the affected right eye as well as the left eye.

If this is an eye infection is there any way of treating this without a vet visit? Would human remedies work such as ofloxacin?

that right one looks infected. i am not sure what to tell you about treating it. i dont want to give you some advice that im not 100% sure about. i would say..dont waste your time waiting for a post on a forum. try to keep him away from any dirt or anything dusty that might make it worse. if anything change the substrate to paper towel or a few towels. i hope this helps.

oops...i didnt finish what i was writing. i meant...take him to the vet instead of waiting for a reply here. i had a frilled dragon with an eye problem and took him to vet and got some eye drops. his eyes got better. do it now before it gets worse.
