My seven year old son cried when I told him Steve Irwin had died. He was his hero. Steve Irwin was the best snake catcher ever, he used to say. Made me feel a bit like second fiddle, but OK. He will be missed in our house.
Steve was the source of several great expressions, most notably "G'day, mate! Ow's yer bum fuh whats?" (how's your bum for warts?) Bum means butt. It's an expression meaning something along the lines of "How are you today?" not really asking if there are warts on your butt.
