The EMBL Reptile database has little on it:

Sometimes considered to be synonymous with Bitis peringueyi BOULENGER 1896

Hi,
there are only two pics from B. heraldica in the Paper from Robert Mertens, Bitis heraldica,eine oft verkannte Otter aus Angola.
