I've always had mixed emotions about some of what Steve Irwin did on TV. BUT, what was clean is he loved his family, cared for friends, and had an honest passion for wildlife.

Add to that his massive entertainment factor, he will obviously be missed by more than most of us when it is our time.

BUT, please,,, I see many memorial funds? I'm just guessing here a bit, but I think he Discovery Channel made him a fairly wealthy man. If you want to collect money, donate it to a local animal/wildlife org in his name.

SteveO was a TV character that seemed bigger than life. And he was. Not many get to do all he did. Steve has moved on, as we all will. My feeling go out to his family, especially his children. We will miss Steve on TV, but it can not compare to how his family feels his loss.

My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to Terri and his 2 children and the rest of his family.

Yes, many funds are in his name, but very few go to his family. The majority of them go to the conservation of wildlife directly, in his name. Although donating to a local group in his name is also very much appreciated by them and very generous.

May he rest in peace, God Bless Terri, Bindi, and Bob.

I think his family is well taken care of at this point.

God is the architect to genetics. And just as we learn the building he has constructed, I think he adds a room on once in a while just to mess with us. He does like to laugh at us. It is so easy.

Thanks

Steve's family is well off already. He make 16 million off his crocodile hunter movie alone.

All the money being donated is going toward conservation efforts that he was so passionate about.

Yes. The family is asking that donations be made to the Wildlife Warriers, and to the Australia Zoo.

Steve's fame and fortune are what made that zoo able to grow to what it has become. The future of the zoo's ability to sustain itself at those proprtions are already being questioned.
