Hydrating a wagleri

ViperPaintball Sep 23, 2006 09:46 AM

I saw a video recently of someone using a laboratory glass pipette to give water to a wagleri. As mine is a bit...uncreative...when seaching for water sources, I have the best luck when getting her to drink water running down the glass as I spray, or spraying water on my longest tongs as she drinks what drips from the tip of them.

The pipette seems to be a good way to perform this task without so much tedium.

Does anyone have a better suggestion, or know where I can acquire a long pipette?

Thanks

Al Coritz shot that video.
You can order long pipettes from Carolina Biological, or Fisher Scientific.

I had one that would drink from a straw, keeping my end mostly closed with a finger, then found that a small meat baster worked better. Had to enlarge the hole a bit to get the right bubble of water to hold at the tip.
