........a couple times. His attitude is steadily improving but he just likes to get one or two almost bluff bites in just for his own personal entertainment.

Gorgeous snake. I used to keep those, hard to handle them the way you do. I had one that I couldn't get out with a hook even, but the other two were ok sometimes. Strike range was amazing, especially when it comes out of nowhere for no reason!
