What types of turtles?

Conserving_herps Sep 27, 2006 10:00 AM

What are the types of turtles that are considered carnivorous? I am specifically looking for a type of turtle that eats snails and slugs in my backyard garden. Can someone help me identify these types and if you know of a breeder that sells them?

Thanks.

Box turtles love snails and slugs.

But that's not all they eat! Box Turtles (Terrapene) are omnivorous, meaning they eat a little of everything. They eat things such as berries, grass, vegetables, carrion, and insects.
