Captive Bred?

what are the chances of finding a captive bred Tegu at a reptile store? are these guys lieing when they say its captive bred? what tegus are more likely to be captive bred?

if you buy an argentine B&W or a red tegu its about 90% captive bred. tere are still some wild caught from paraguay, but they are rare. If you buy a blue its 100% the only wild ones ever shipped that i know of were St. pierres original stock. if you buy a columbian gold or B&W its 5% chance of it being Captive bred. those are imported in huge numbers
