My newts are much tinier than the pictures I've seen, but they don't go in the water much, therefore I beleive they do have lungs?.?

My newts are much tinier than the pictures I've seen, but they don't go in the water much, therefore I beleive they do have lungs?.?
Newts once they metamorph do not have gills. Also depending on the species as locality of origin, avoidance of the water can be a sign of poor water quality and/or stress.
