Has anyone tried the ants on eBay? I bought some just to see what they are and they appear to be M. pergandi.
If you have I'd be interested to know if you HL's like them and what species you have??
Thanks!

Pogonomyrmex Harvester Ants: A Study of the Genus in North America. Arthur C. Cole

I just ordered one. Getting to the point where I'm more interested in the entemology aspects. Sure you don't need the book Gordon, but here's a link for those interested.

Thats a good book, I was afraid it was another book on Pogos By Steven Taber which would not have been worth the money. Tabers is ok for things like habitat and has some cool anecdotal stories, but for Identifications it is worthless. The keys and figures suck. Coles book however is good but sometimes a little tough to work with.
