What kind of Mountain Dragon?

kellybee Oct 18, 2006 12:27 PM

Hey,

I was in my local reptile shop at the weekend and came across a beautiful lizard labelled only as "Mountain Dragon". It was kind of dark green with spiky bits all over, and with shiny, almost like tinfoil looking neon green markings all down his back!!!! He was about the same size as my collared lizard, but at the time I didnt know there were so many "Mountain Dragons" out there, does anyone have any idea what he might have been? I'd like to know more about them, if possible. IF anyone has any pictures of one they think might be the same species I'd love to see them?

Thanks
Kelly

First, do a search on Japalura and see if any of these match. If not let us know and I'll give it another guess.

Japalura Splendida !!! I have found loads of info, that might keep me quiet for a while.....

Well I have also seen Japalura Polygonata whilst browsing, does anyone know anything about these, not necessarily looking at keeping them, but I'm one of those that sees something and wants to know ALL about it, they're really cool

Not a lot about the Polygonata on the net, I thought maybe someone might keep them?
