PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!

Was feeding my son's brand new leopard gecko. They are ground dwelling from what I understand, he crawled from my hand to my shoulder while I was cleaning his tank and putting cricks in. When I was done, (perhaps 30 seconds) he was not on my shoulder. I took my sweater off...carefully.... Not THERE!!! GONE!!! I tore up the entire room last night...Didn't sleep.

1) How long can he last without his habitate?!?!?!

2) How can I lure him out from where he is?!?!?!

3) Where else should I look?!?!?!

HELP HELP!!! My son comes home today from the hospital. He has been recovering from cancer therapy and this was his new best friend.

I realy do appreciat the advice and responses. It reassures me that there are people in this world that do care.

Well, it has been 6 days now. I had to do the difficult task of telling my son that his buddy has escaped. Tough to look him the eyes and do that....but it must be done.

So far, and I did do this right away after the escape, blocked off all exits to the room, including the entrance to the kitchen. Set out a warm heat light that shines on the floor in a secluded part of the room and set his cave/dome near it, with his water. Looked under and over everything each night at about 2:30 AM (considering he is nocturnal) that may be the best time to capture him. My eyes are bloodshot as I write this, so forgive any spelling mistakes. I blocked off the 2 gaps under 2 doors in the room. I just picked up a small web cam and I am in the process of setting it up to a laptop with a remote sensor, so that it will record the room late at night if anything moves. I can't think of much else to do... But I need to get more sleep in the evening because I have a much more pressing issue that needs me, but my son is doing better and better every day.

Thanks again.
